What is shiny and orange in Turku’s heart? Where are the green balconys? The 65 m long handrail under the observatory was covered with a knitted graffiti on July 26th 2011. The graffiti got it’s colours from the different shades of the houses, balconys, windows, roads, traffic lights and other details in the city landscape, spotted by Minna Vainio, our Art Clinic participant.

In fall 2011 people were encouraged to enjoy the colours of the view!

Knitted graffiti: Minna Vainio

We also want to thank Annika Leino for the help with the knitting!

The artwork was a production of Art Clinic, where groups and private individuals created public urban artworks tailored for their personal skills and interests.
